The Future of Technical Communication
Scott Abel delivers the keynote address at TechComm NZ 2017
Here’s a video of the opening keynote address I delivered in 2017 at TechCommNZ, the conference of the Technical Communicators Association of New Zealand.
The theme of the talk was “The Future of Technical Communication”. It contains my thoughts and predictions about structured content, machine learning, multichannel publishing, artificial intelligence, and cognitive computing.
I also make the case for the value of technical communication as an essential part of the customer experience and something that tech writers must learn to communicate to others, especially corporate leadership.
