One of our favorite resources for API Docs information is the API Evangelist blog written by API enthusiast and evangelist, Kin Lane. The site hosts a collection of API-related content, including educational information for beginners (API 101) and a collection of information about API-first business strategies.
The API lifecycle is represented on the blog with each phase of the lifecycle — define > design > deploy > test > secure > deploy > observe > distribute — each having their own dedicated section on the site.
