In a May 3, 2004 “Alert Box” column, Nielsen examines web site linking problems caused by some site designers who just don’t understand how hypertext links should work. According to Nielsen, designers can improve the usability of the sites they create if they would avoid using the same link color for both visited links and new destinations.
