Aquent, a creative professionals consulting firm, has created a new online video series entiteld Design: Thinking Out. Described by the creators as “part Communication Arts profile, part Inside the Actors Studio,” this new video series takes you into the studios—and minds—of today’s most respected design and marketing professionals. This month’s feature examines how personal experience and background shape a designer’s development. Peter Girardi—founder of the design firm Funny Garbage and production designer for Comedy Central’s Crank Yankers TV series—lexamines how skills and perspectives gained from life are more important than those acquired in design school.
