TheContentWrangler.com and DUO Consulting have put together an outstanding conference offering for those of you interested in the web and content management. It’s called Web Content 2007 and it takes place in Chicago this June 18-19. The event features over thirty sessions organized in three tracks: Tools and Technology, Content Design and Access, and Content Development and Management.
Web Content 2007 aims to draw attention to the strategic importance of content and to feature how content should be effectively deployed to achieve specific and measurable business results. While many Internet symposia focus on website design, email marketing, search engine strategies, ecommerce and other pieces of the internet puzzle, there seemed to be a void in bringing this assortment under the umbrella of content. Hence, Web Content 2007 - devoted to the core item virtually every Internet user seeks.
Our opening keynote speaker, Ann Rockley (president of The Rockley Group and author of Managing Enterprise Content) will help the audience understand how web content can be used to build customer relationships. Rockley is also slated to present a one hour session, Developing a Content Framework to Support Relationships. If you are hoping to use technology to manage customer relationships, you’ll want to hear what Rockley has to say.
Closing keynote speaker, Salim Ismail (head of The Brickhouse, a Yahoo! technology incubator and the number one rated speaker at Documentation and Training Vancouver 2007)—will demystify the Semantic Web during his presentation, How Web 2.0 is Changing the Way We Manage Content on the Web. Ismail’s message is clear and his examples will have you looking for new ways to harness the information you provide your customers in new and valuable ways.
Jason Fried of 37signals, one of several featured speakers, will share his unconventional, yet effective, ideas behind the collaboration style of 37signals in producing their web-based software including Basecamp, Backpack, Campfire, Ta-da List and Highrise. Jason will challenge your thinking about team size, location, meetings and decision making in a collaborative environment.
Sponsors of Web Content 2007 include: Sitecore, Serena, Hot Banana and FatWire.
